Our Vision

The vision of Crossroads Baptist Church can be summarized in one phrase:  "LOVING GOD, REACHING PEOPLE, TOUCHING THE WORLD."  We do this by practicing the five purposes of the church.  They are: Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship, Ministry, and Fellowship.

I. We exist to celebrate God's presence.  Worship is expressing my love to God.

II. We exist to communicate God's Word.  Evangelism is sharing the Good News with others.

III. We exist to educate God's people.  Discipleship is becoming spiritually mature.

IV. We exist to demonstrate God's love.  Ministry is meeting needs with love.

V. We exist to incorporate God's people into His family.  Fellowship is loving others.

Our Vocation

The object of Crossroads Baptist Church is to bring men, women, boys, and girls into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives; to love them and encourage their Christian growth through preaching and teaching of the Word of God.  To be a congregation of the faithful, who have personally and individually given themselves to the Savior and experienced believer's baptism by immersion, united together to promote each others's spiritual hapiness, and to humbly follow Christ.

Our Heritage

 On October 22, 1993, a group of 125 believers met in east Fort Myers, Florida to discuss starting a new church.  They had no facilities and no funds.  However, they did have dreams and faith in "The God That Provides," and services began the very next day.

The Bible says, "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin," Zechariah 4:10.  From this inauspicious start, has come Crossroads Baptist Church, a church that has bought and paid for 18 acres of prime real estate in the most beautiful location in Lee County.  We are a church that has planned and built a fabulous building with an appraised value of 2.4 million dollars.  We have grown to average 457 a week in worship and we baptized 57 in 2004.  Two years in a row, we baptized over one hundred and we were recognized by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Southeastern Seminary as being in the top 4% of evangelistic churches in the entire United States.  Truly, the Lord has blessed the work and we give Him all the glory.

We have a loving, compassionate church fellowship and our desire is to minister to the whole Body of Christ and be obedient to the Great Commission.  Our business is loving God, reaching people and touching the world.  Our burden is to present the Gospel of the Grace of god with creativity, credibility and caring.

Our desire is to bring men, women, boys and girls into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior, and Lord of their lives.  We want to love them and encourage their Christian growth through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God.  To be a congregation of the faithful, who have personally and individually given themselves to the Savior and experienced believer's baptism by immersion, united together to promote each other's spiritual happiness, and walk with God.
